These medications are used in diabetes and weight loss services. Some people chose to buy these privately because there has been a national shortage via the NHS. We have been alerted by the medicines regulator, the MHRA, that there are some injections contain insulin. Insulin lowers the blood glucose & can cause hypoglycaemia. This can be dangerous.

We are pleased to inform you that the pharmacies at Fleet Medical Centre and Branksomewood Healthcare Centre have been taken over by new management, normal services and operating hours have resumed. This is a family run business, you can nominate these pharmacies through the NHS App, Patient Access or in-store.

Your GP, nurse or pharmacist will not generally give you a prescription for over the counter medicines for a range of minor health concerns. 

Instead, over the counter medicines are available to buy in a pharmacy or supermarket in your local community.

The team of health professionals at your local pharmacy can offer help and clinical advice to manage minor health concerns and if your symptoms suggest it’s more serious, they’ll ensure you get the care you need.
